Michael Jackson Eulogized the Godfather of Soul, James Brown

On this date in 2006, Michael Jackson, accompanied by the Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, attended the funeral for the Godfather of Soul and Funk, James Brown. Michael gave a brief eulogy and said, “James Brown is my greatest inspiration”. Michael also paid tribute to James Brown in at the BET Awards in 2003.
