This is an artistic tribute that I have created for one of the most beautiful and gifted souls that has gone too soon from our planet. It chronicles his early beginnings as a bright child all the way to his final days on earth and ascension to heaven-the King of Pop, the compassionate and gentle being that was Michael Jackson. He cared deeply for our planet and the welfare of all living things from the gentle elephant to the powerful panther. He relaxes in the golden fields reminiscing about his childhood as a young adult version of himself hands his infant self a magical water globe filled with wonder. The sands of time touch his feet blessing him with the gift of dance. Peter Pan flies with John, Wendy and Tinkerbell over his childhood home as he sits on the steps of his childhood home waving to them as a flurry of glitter pipes out of the chimney where all the magic began. The roots of the tree in the water globe grow from his hand as a robin tweets on the treetop. He is next depicted with his Grammy awards shining as brilliant as the twinkling stars as a comet bursts of his chest and blasts into the evening sky. He joins forces with himself as the creative electricity shoots from his hands and intertwine to give the young Michael a spark of brilliance that he was blessed to be born with inside of his soul. Child and adult Michael, side by side unite above his eyebrows as they gently gaze up at the luminous moon as he looks down from it and reflects upon his life. A 50 year old Michael blows a goodbye kiss to all his loyal family, friends and fans as the teenage Michael waves goodbye, both slowly fading into the night sky. The sun shines brightly in each of his eyes as the orca named Willy gallantly leaps out of the sea and the elephant raises his trunk to acknowledge the big heart that Michael possessed. His lips consist of a beautiful white tiger and panther relaxing in the safari grass as the trees grow proudly and the river lays still. His face takes on the color of the earth as his hair transforms into the twinkling night and his neck changes into a blue sky. While drawing this tribute, I was deeply inspired by his music, his messages, and his spirit that ripples through the earth in the reflections of the ones who aspire to change the world, one step at a time.
