I’m on the left, Michael’s on the right. Text reads, “Michael, a misunderstood man…”. He did everything possible to defend himself and show he was human. He just wanted what most people want. Peace and happiness. The media threw spears at him and didn’t stop at his death. The reason I grew my hair long and have kept it long since I was a kid is because of Michael. I also suffer from vitiligo, on my knees and around my eyes. I think about Michael a lot. I wish I could’ve met him. Despite his struggles, he was a good man. People are quick to vilify someone that isn’t “normal” like them, to jump to conclusions without investigating further.
I don’t claim to look anything like Michael, but I always thought there were similarities. I have naturally curly hair, arched eyebrows, vitiligo and African heritage, just like Michael.
