This week in 1980, Michael hit #1 for the second time in his adult solo career with “Rock With You” topping the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Steve Hyden of The AV Club says that “The part where Michael sings, ‘Girrrrrrl, when you dance, there’s a magic that must be love’ is the most purely joyful moment I’ve ever heard in a pop song”.
