Personality

I am a person that has my own individual style. I like to dress up in skirts and dresses, but I also have no problem wearing jeans, pants, or whatever. I don't define myself as preppy, gothic, punk, etc., and I don't judge others for the clothes they wear either. . .it's what's inside that counts. My personality traits can be best described as: very easy going, loving, eloquent, caring,driven, considerate, creative, relaxed, understanding,loyal, peaceful, humorous, respectful, fun, empathetic, kind, talented, happy, honest, religious, friendly, compassionate, intelligent, hard working, observant, trusting, accepting, and warm-hearted person, etc. I can also be described as realistic and a dreamer as well...I'm a person that "makes" my dreams come true through hard work. I believe that in order to achieve it, you must dream it first...most of the amazing things that have happened, been invented, etc. were first a dream, which was then put into reality.

I love to have fun, joke around, laugh a lot, play pranks, be goofy at times, but I also know when and how to be serious. I know how to listen to others, and am always there for others when they need someone to talk to, and at the same time I do not judge them. . .I am very open, accepting, and understanding. I am a religious person, but I'm not a fanatic...I have a healthy balance. It is because of that I choose not to drink (to get drunk...maybe 2 drinks a week every once in a LONG LONG while, lol), do drugs, no clubbing, etc...I live a very moral and virtuous life (don't lie, steal, cheat, judge others, no jealousy, show mercy, try to remain peaceful, try to always forgive others, etc.). I still know how to let loose and have fun, dance, etc...I just don't put myself in compromising situations.


I love animals, and I have three parakeets, and a beta-fish named Tokyo. I've had cats, dogs, fish, frogs, toads, turtles, etc. in the past. In the future I would like dog or two (golden retriever, goldendoodle,german shepherd, collie, border collie, sheltie, greyhound, st. bernard, doberman pincher, great dane, etc...not all at the same time, lol)! I would also like to have a couple of horses, and maybe a cat in the future, but time will tell when or if the horses become a reality, lol!

Education and Plans for the Future



I study psychology and I would like to of course practice in that field when I get my degree. I graduate with my Bachelor's degree in May of 2008, and from there I will enroll in the Doctoral program to earn my Doctorate's degree (I'll studying for my Master's and doctorates simultaneously) in Neuropsychology and Health psychology. After that, I would like to start my own practice and use animal assisted therapy as part of it if it's able to be applied to neuropsychology. The main thing I want to do with my life is to help others. I'm a straight A student, and yes, I take pride in my grades. I know that grades won't alone make me a great psychologist (mostly experience does), but grades serve as a great motivating factor, and graduating with some kind of honor is always nice to put on the resume, and they also get you into honor societies within the field you are studying.


I believe very much in education,and each person should go as far as they can with their education, but I understand that not everyone has the privilege to go as far as they want to, or have the chance to go to college (expensive, etc.), so again, I am open and do not judge. Waitresses, plumbers, electricians, trashmen, mailmen, bus drivers, cashiers, etc. are just as important as doctors, lawyers, scientists, etc. . .the world wouldn't be able to function without them either. A rich, well educated person with a huge house, and all of the material possessions he or she desires is worth no more than a poor person who doesn't have everything a rich person does, including opportunities. In the end, we all answer to the same One. I'm not saying that it's bad to be rich, it's just important that the person remembers what is most important in life. The most important thing in life is loving others, accepting others, not judging others, helping others, being empathetic, caring, peaceful, people, feelings, forgiveness, life in general, honesty, loyalty, faith, hope, etc...the rest is only extra.

Some sayings I live by are: Treat other's how you want to be treated; what goes around comes around (no, I'm not saying that I'm revengeful, I promise); put yourself in the other person's shoes; the world would be a boring place if we were all the same; always forgive others, don't judge, and be a peaceful person, etc. I'm not saying to let people walk all over each other. There are times people need to be assertive and stand up for their self, but really look at the situation first to see if it's something worth making a huge fuss over...too many people jump and act too quickly for such small things.

Crazy/odd, and normal, lol, facts about me:

1. I can't put eye liner on correctly
without first brushing my teeth. (clean feeling)


2. By the time I was 5 or 6 years old, I knew all of the words to almost every Dolly Parton song. I used to want to grow up to be a country music singer like her, and I would stand on my bed, use an a/c adapter plug as a microphone, and dance a bit, singing along to Dolly's songs on my stereo...I still sing to her, lol!


3.I find the UPS man extremely annoying most of the time, lol...hey, they tend to deliver their packages at the most inconvenient times, lol!


4.I can't stand watching anyone throw up on TV...I'll gag...very weak stomach.


5. I have a HUGE phobia of bees, wasps, and hornets.


6.If I could come back reincarnated (don't believe in it though) as something else in another lifetime, I'd choose to come back as an orca (killer whale).


7.I've been writing stories, etc. most of my life, but wrote a 205 page book when I was 13 years old, yet never bothered to try to get it published...but I'm getting ready to try to get other work published.


8.I'm a complete retard at math...couldn't get any dumber than me, but excel (straight A's) in everything else.


9.Have what I call a "Trinity of Survival"...I had really difficult times when I was younger with different kinds of abuse (sexual, emotional, and some physical), and there were several times I tried to kill myself (obviously none worked because I was naive). I was very very lonely, but I found and gained coping skills/strategies...found things to turn to that have helped me grow stronger, and live, gain insight, and appreciate life as well as become more understanding and empathetic. Those I credit with my still being alive and continuing to help me are: God, Michael Jackson (his music, lyrics, personality, strength, morals, pictures, and positive messages), and Lady...my dog, Lady, who also played a vital role.


10. I am very shy, quiet, and modest, yet very social in other situations....I observe a lot, and I think about what I'm going to say before I say it.


11.Always say a prayer for Michael Jackson everyday...for his peace, happiness, success, health, safety, respect, and to be loved, etc. (this is true).


12. I'm ambidextrous - sort of, because I write with my right hand, can apply liquid eyeliner with either hand very well, can only cut my food with my left hand, draw with my right hand, grab/reach for things with either hand.


13. I RARELY EVER drink at all. First of all, I don't like the taste of most alcohol, but I like the taste of liquors, lol! I've gotten drunk ONLY once or twice in my life and hated it, saw no point in drinking really...I'm one of those that doesn't stop crying when drunk, lol.


14.I LOVE to drink Half and Half!


15. Yes, I'm a geek/nerd...whatever. I'm always reading, researching, and learning something in my free time...other than listen to music.


16.LOVE Camaros, Firebirds,Trans Ams, Chargers, Challengers from the 1960's...I also love the most recent Trans Am before they stopped making them.



17. My favorite number when I was little was 161...now my favorite number is 21.


18. I'm Irish, Welsh, English, and Scottish...very recent family history...not three or four generations ago, lol!


19.I'm completely obsessed with trying to prove, and make EVERYONE believe in Michael Jackson's innocence.


20.Nicknames that have been given to me, that I'm still called, and those who gave them to me are in parenthesis: megola (mother and her friend), cutie (fiance), beautiful (fiance), gafa (fiance), petunia (mother), pumpkin (grandparents), Nena (hair dresser and fiance), Mohogan (a friend from Mexico I went to school with spelled my name wrong, and it stuck), sissy (from my sisters).


21.I've been drinking tea since I was two and a half to three years old...my family is Irish, Welsh, English, and Scottish...and the leap over the pond has been in the recent family history, lol.


22. I have been told that I sound English (accent) when I get angry or VERY serious, lol! Then again, Latin people seem to detect a bit of an accent in me most of the time (even though I was born in the USA.


23.I like limeade better than lemonade.


24.I used to take the Bible LITERALLY, lol! Even the verse that mentions to wash the inside of the cup before the outside...that's how I used to wash dishes. I eventually figured out that it was actually telling the "person" to clean, or make sure they're clean on the inside before the outside (personality, morals, etc. before outside appearance).


25. God/spirituality is a very important part of my life (not really denominational though, but if I had to choose one, I'd be Lutheran). I try to always be forgiving, merciful, non-judgmental, pray for my enemies (literally, but I don't really have any), etc.


26. I'm REALLY REALLY looking forward to being a mother one day in the future...I'll LOVE pregnancy, lol, just like my mother! The belly is so adorable, though my only fear is of the weird feeling of something moving inside of me (kicking, flipping, etc.), which may freak me out a little, and there would be no way to make it stop, lol!


27. .One of my favorite songs to dance to is "The Stroke" by Billy Squier. Another favorite song to dance to is "If You Don't Love Me" by Michael Jackson (all of his songs are really great though, lol) as well as "Shut Up" by the Black Eyed Peas, and "Keep on Rockin' Me Baby" by the Steve Miller Band


28.Didn't have my first boyfriend until I was 18...I chose not to have one until then, and he's also the same one I'm marrying.


29. Other than a country music singer, while growing up I also wanted to be a pharmacist, veterinarian, and a whale trainer (I may actually get the opportunity to do this in the future...slight possibility though.


30. I have swam with dolphins...the dorsal fin (where it pulls me through the water), the nose push my feet while on a board through the water, fed them, pet them, hugged and kissed them.


31. Really wish I could have met Keiko (the "Free Willy" whale).


32. I didn't like any other kind of music besides country until I was 11 years old...Michael Jackson was the FIRST one that I listened to and loved that wasn't country...and he has been my absolute favorite ever since.


33. I have Long QT Syndrome.


34. I like people that don't remember my name the first time they see me.


35. I LOVE everything and anything Celtic (Welsh, Irish, Scottish...although the Scottish are more Piction I think, etc.)...the landscapes, atmosphere (the mystery, beauty, and how it makes me feel), medieval castles, music, etc. etc. My entire family heritage is Celtic (recent...not 5 generations back, lol), and I feel a strong bond, etc. with it.


36. I like to listen to bagpipes...as well as every other kind of music from classical to country to rock to heavy metal to new age, ethnic, R&B, blues, opera, and SOME rap, etc.


37. Am interested in, and starting to learn Welsh and Gaelic.


38. I want to learn to sing opera...not that it's my favorite kind of music, but I feel it trains the voice the best for singing.


39. My fiance and I take waltz, foxtrot, and tango lessons together. I have learned a bit of bellydancing, and want to take lessons in other kinds of dance as well.


40. I LOVE big dogs (temper is more even, friendlier, and calmer than small dogs), and I want a St. Bernard, Great Dane, Greyhound, Collie, Golden Retriever, Golden-doodle, Doberman, French Mastiff (Hooch and Turner dog), Afghan hound, Boxer, German Shepherd, Irish Setter, Ibizan Hound, Saluki, and an Old English Sheepdog. Don't ask how I'll ever have all of these dogs (probably two at a time), or I'll probably pick my favorites first, lol!...I have a phobia of poodles!


41. I love to watch planes take off and land...I could sit at an airport and watch them all day in complete awe!!
42. I'm a VERY adaptable person...mostly because I've had to be my entire life.
43. I appreciate the beauty and peace in nature.
44.I found that I love to snorkel...just went snorkeling in the Barrier Reef in Belize this past week while on a cruise!
45. I LOVE being on ships/boats...love the rocking, the peace, watching the ocean/water, listening to the noises of the ship and the water, love the smell of the air, and how the sun reflects off the water, etc. I could easily live at sea!
46. I LOVE to race elevators!!
