One of the original five VJs on MTV when it started and current Sirius Radio host, Mark Goodman shares his stories of how Michael and "Thriller" changed the landscape for African-Americans on MTV, and the face of music overall.

The US Library of Congress has officially added Michael Jackson's Thriller to its National Recording Registry. In an effort to preserve records deemed "culturally and aesthetically significant", the Library has archived the album's "best existing version" its existence in perpetuity. Aside from being the biggest selling album of all time, Thriller also contained seven #1 hit singles, remained on Billboard's Top 10 for one year, won the Grammy award for Best Album and was recently inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
